Heartwarming yet heartbreaking. This book about a cat's travels to escape war along with her human family shows the great struggles that refugees face. As a cat companion, I ached for the family when their beloved cat was separated from them and wanted to shelter the lonely, scared cat facing the world on her own. Through the kindness of strangers, both the family and their pet are reunited (yay!), yet the book's premise exists because of war and destruction. This book teaches great lessons, and I want everyone, no matter their age, to read this book and learn to care for others.
